I LOVE to help people figure out their lives. In my career I have worked across many areas in mental health and have witnessed amazing things happen when people start to understand what they need in life.
I work with clients across the lifespan, from everyday difficulties regarding areas of love, loss, career, and family, to profound challenges like trauma, identity, and mood disorders. My goal as a therapist is to help you feel seen and understood so that you may begin to rebuild your life.
I meet my clients with warmth, compassion, and a commitment to help them lead their best lives. I use a healthy dose of humor to build a trusting and collaborative bond. While I approach treatment from a psychodynamic lens with the aim of greater self-understanding and lasting change, I integrate cognitive-behavioral interventions toward symptom relief through practical, short-term adjustments tailored uniquely to you.
Inclusivity work: This includes variations of gender expression, sexuality, race, ethnocultural background, socioeconomic status, faith, legal status, all are welcomed with respect and openness. I have lived in central Wisconsin for nearly 30 years and on my days off enjoy hiking, boating and gardening with my spouse and our two dogs.

Individual therapy allows clients to identify patterns that affect thinking, feelings and behaviors. Family therapy is a type of counseling that can help family members improve communication and resolve conflicts.
Traumatic experiences can influence a person’s overall functioning and can impact areas such as sense of self, as well as inhibit joy, pleasure, and rewarding relationships.
Helping counselors, and developing therapist gain understanding of working within the field of mental health. This includes supervision as well as business management and leadership coaching.
I work with people "where they are at" in regards to their substance use. I review the patterns of substance use in their lives to help them determine the next step- for some means sobriety others it means reduction.
