Therapist-In-Training

My approach to therapy is integrative and relationship-first. I pull from a range of evidence-based methods, but I always start by building a genuine connection with the people I work with. I see therapy as more of an art form than a structured protocol to follow. I believe that techniques and frameworks are tools and the most important thing is that what we do together actually fits you. In practice, I draw from Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and somatic and trauma-informed approaches, depending on what a person needs in a given moment.
I'm also currently training in Brainspotting, a body-based method that can be especially helpful for clients who feel stuck even after traditional talk therapy. I tend to be collaborative and honest. I'll offer my genuine perspective and observations while making sure you always feel like an equal partner in your own treatment.

Specialties
I provide evaluation and therapeutic treatment for:
Trauma & PTSD
I work with adolescents and adults who are carrying the weight of difficult or painful experiences. We proceed at a pace that feels safe for you, starting with building grounding skills and a sense of stability. From there, I draw on trauma-informed approaches, such as Brainspotting, to help you understand how your nervous system has adapted and to find your way back to feeling more at home in yourself.
Anxiety, Grief & Loss
I help people who feel overwhelmed by worry, or who are moving through the pain of losing someone or something that mattered. For anxiety, we explore the thoughts and patterns that sustain it and practice tools that calm both mind and body. For grief, I offer a steady, nonjudgmental space to feel what you feel and honor what was lost, without any pressure to “move on” on a timeline.
Emotion Regulation
I work with people whose emotions can feel too big, too fast, or difficult to understand. Together we learn to notice what is happening in the body and mind and name emotions as they arise. Rather than treating feelings as problems to fix or push away, we get curious about them. The goal is to build a friendlier relationship with your inner world, so you can feel at home with what comes up and respond from a steadier place.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) SKills
Life Transitions
I teach and coach skills from Dialectical Behavior Therapy, including mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. I focus on making these skills practical and usable in everyday life, so you leave with tools you can reach for in difficult moments.
I support people navigating change, whether it is a career shift, a move, the end of a relationship, a new role, or simply a season of life that feels uncertain. We take time to clarify what matters most to you, work through the fear and uncertainty that accompany change, and take steady steps toward a life that feels more aligned with your values.

My treatment style is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Collaborative and Patient-Centered Therapy.
